Industra

Industra is a vibrant ecosystem pulsating in the untouched halls of Nová Zbrojovka. Instead of competing in well-established areas, it targets and develops neglected ones.

 This independent cultural and innovation centre arose from the need to question the status quo and from the idea to create something that makes it worthwhile to stay in Brno. It is the only space in the Moravian metropolis that offers a year-round venue for distinctive projects from the Czechoslovak independent theatre, dance, and new circus scene. Its monumental industrial backdrop gives original and site-specific productions an unparalleled atmosphere.

The cultural experience of the place is rounded off by a gallery of contemporary international art, an open community workshop for creators from the makers and hackers scenes, artist-in-residence studios, and a cafe and gourmet coffee roastery.

At Industra, the original factory space naturally connects with an active community. This creates an environment where bold ideas transform into specific projects with international reach.
