The concert, which will take place in January, the first month of the year, is dominated by the number one. The program includes Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Symphony No. 1 in C minor, Bohuslav Martinů’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in D major, and a Scherzo by Břetislav Bakala, the very first chief conductor of the Filharmonie Brno.
A discussion with the artistic director and his guests will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the director’s lounge. Seating is limited; please reserve your spot at besedy@filharmonie-brno.cz by 12:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the week the concert takes place.
