Zoo Brno is one of the most prominent zoological gardens in the Czech Republic, offering visitors a unique opportunity to encounter more than 2,000 animals representing 400 species from around the world. Modern exhibits, attractive species and strong individual animal stories make Zoo Brno a place people love to return to. Zoo Brno – We Are One Pack.

One of the main highlights is the polar bear exhibit. Zoo Brno is currently home to a remarkable trio of adult female polar bears living in a spacious, modern enclosure. It is among the largest polar bear exhibits of its kind in Europe and allows visitors to observe these majestic predators in an environment that respects their natural needs.

Great attention is also drawn to the new gelada baboon exhibit. An open enclosure houses a group of eight highly social Ethiopian primates, offering visitors a rare opportunity to observe their complex social bonds and everyday life within the troop.

The atmosphere of Africa is brought closer through the themed exhibits Ngorongoro and Nocturnal Limpopo. Ngorongoro evokes the environment of the African savannah and the famous volcanic crater, while Nocturnal Limpopo introduces visitors to animals active after sunset, offering an unusual insight into life in the dark.

Another popular attraction is the young lion cub, one of the zoo’s youngest residents, which has quickly become one of the most beloved symbols of Zoo Brno.

Visitors can also explore two specialized indoor pavilions. The Exotarium focuses primarily on bird species from various parts of the world. The Tropical Kingdom presents the fauna of South America and offers encounters with iconic animals such as the impressive green anaconda or the rare white-faced saki monkey.

Zoo Brno is long committed to the protection of endangered species, public education, and also operates a wildlife rescue centre. A regular part of the visit includes commented feedings and keeper talks at selected animal exhibits.
