Brno Independent Theatre Festival

A celebration of the diversity, creativity and bold ideas emerging from Brno’s independent professional theatre scene — coming to Brno for the first time this autumn.

The Brno Independent Theatre Festival brings together independent theatre companies from across the city for one week of fresh, original and inspiring work. It’s a chance to discover new voices, experience theatre beyond the mainstream and explore smaller cultural venues you may not have encountered before.

From drama and opera to traditional Japanese farce, contemporary devised projects and object theatre, the festival showcases the many faces of contemporary theatre. Alongside the performances, you can look forward to a programme of events and evening concerts.

14 independent theatre companies. 8 venues. 8 days.
One festival connecting audiences with the vibrant independent theatre scene of Brno.

Come and discover everything it has to offer.
