An Afternoon of Portuguese Flavours: Petiscos by José Novo

What does Portugal taste like? Come and discover it through traditional specialities, family recipes and stories about Portuguese gastronomy!

On Thursday, 26 November, we invite you to join us at our Z Portugalska shop for a lovely afternoon dedicated to Portuguese flavours.

Our special guest will be José Novo, a Portuguese native living in Brno, who has been passionate about gastronomy since childhood. He grew up in a family with a long tradition of pastry-making and learned many culinary skills and family recipes directly from his mother.

WHAT CAN YOU LOOK FORWARD TO?

Portuguese petiscos – traditional savoury and sweet bites, including specialities made with our Portuguese tinned fish.

A taste of Portuguese sweetness – including pastel de nata made according to José’s own recipe, as well as other desserts inspired by Portuguese cuisine.

Inspiration for your kitchen – discover how to prepare Portuguese tinned fish, what to pair with piri-piri sauce and how to combine Portuguese flavours to create delicious dishes.

Portuguese wine and coffee – enjoy your favourite specialities with a cup of Nicola Portuguese coffee or a glass of wine.

José will share his experience, family recipes and interesting stories about Portuguese culinary traditions. You can chat with him in English or Portuguese.

BLACK FRIDAY WEEK

Our Black Friday Week will also be taking place during the same week. It’s a great opportunity to discover new Portuguese flavours and shop for selected products at special prices.

Admission: Free, no reservation required. Feel free to drop by at any time during the afternoon.
Food & drinks: Individual specialities, wine and coffee will be available to purchase directly at the shop. Everyone pays for their own consumption, either by cash or card.
